The Frogs Sept 2008

I had a play with Jonathans new video camera yesterday, it was very trusting of him to lend it to me knowing my love of precariously leaning over ponds to get frog close ups.

I was impressed with the camera, its small and cheap but the image quality is great and the powerful 34x macro zoom lens is a joy to use, also its a digital camera which allowed me to get a picture quality greater than my analogue set up.

I was pleased with my new little movie, you may notice that in one shot you can see the house reflected in the frogs eye and you may even notice the reflection of me waving to myself...smile

How To Bath A Cat

Flipping News

Rose always ends up covered with self adhesive stickers after a visit from Melissa and I've just noticed one on top of the cats head.
Surprise visits from Clare still put me into light a cigarette fast mode since the day she urgently needed £1300 cash in 30 minutes time....so my first question to her is normally "Everything ok?" or "So what problem do I face today?".

I was relieved that her reply was "Yeah everythings ok", but my state of relaxation was brief due to her second remark..."I am in the newspapers".....What have you done now Clare? I thought...remembering the time that while attempting to contact her, I was informed she was in a criminal court!....The trouble she gets in!
But being caught without a tv licence is not a serious criminal record in my books...been caught myself a few times, but always managed to wiggle myself out of any legal action, probably by giving the impression of being insane, never admitting guilt and keeping the licence inspector waiting on the doorstep for an hour while searching the house for the non existing licence and rushing out the following day to buy one by borrowing the money from other bills.

Anyway not only was Clare in the newspaper but to my surprise it wasn't the Echo, I think every family member has been in the Echo over the years...my first appearance in the Echo was about 40 years ago...I won a prize in school...the prize was not for any sports or academical achievement, it was for regular attendance..grin.
I was awarded a book called "Here's Rosemary"...thats a time and space coincidence isn't it?

Clare was in the Guardian!!...here is a section of the article...

"Clare Hayes first became aware of website flipping four months ago. "It's a good way to earn a little extra money," she says. Hayes recently flipped the website selfhelpportal4u.com. "It cost me less than £10, and I sold it for £150," she says. "I know that's not exactly a big money deal, but they do happen. You have to start out small, and at the moment I am still on the bottom rung of the ladder."

Much of the appeal of website flipping is that it can be done from home on a small budget with a little effort and some basic web skills. "All you need is a computer, an internet connection and about £10 to get you started," says Hayes. "You can work your own hours and, best of all, there is absolutely no limit to the amount of money you can make." That holds true in both directions, of course: you may make nothing if nobody wants your site."

Clare owns and has sold a number of websites including a give up smoking club, which she informs me she is not a member of. If you want to take a look at the sites Clare has created, with luck I can stick the links below.
