The Second Wave

They're back....here's some footage complete with very bad camera work.

As usual the frogs arrived during the night with approximately 70 in each pond by dawn.

The night time temperatures had been below zero with a layer of ice on the pond....I believe that these freezing events trigger the frogs to return to the pond for a second time, releasing more spawn...this being natures way of ensuring survival of the species if the first wave of eggs are destroyed by the ice.
